Mulberry Junction
model railway layout set in West Yorkshire
Fiddle / Storage yard
The storage / fiddle yard is quite basic it has 4 roads ( 2 on the up, and 2 on the down sides
The main boards / scenic area has a station, goods shed, coal yard, modern signal box, shops and houses.
The track is a mix of peco flexi track and points, and Hornby third and forth radius curves
The goods shed and coal merchants yard is quite simplistic having a arrival / departure road, a single line stretch through the goods shed to a external loading dock, and a single line for the coal merchants with a single line head-shunt with access to all three lines.
The goods yard connects to the up side of the main line.
The mainline is a continuous loop type, without any crossovers but has a single point to the goods area there is a level crossing at the opposite end to the station which uses DMU vehicles or short loco hauled trains, express trains don`t stop here.
The length of the layout is just shy of 16 foot by approximately 32 inches wide.
